  2. Hi, i read your blog occasionally and i own a similar one and i was
    just wondering if you get a lot of spam remarks?
    If so how do you protect against it, any plugin or anything you can recommend?
    I get so much lately it’s driving me mad so any help is very much
    appreciated.

    • Jim, you will find it very useful to moderate every comment so that they are approved before showing.
      I don’t get much spam – the WordPress settings capture what there is. If you own your space there might
      be something you can buy but being poor Franciscans we are happy to manually filter it away.

    • dear Bill, well your comment was captured as spam, but I have rescued you.
      I just use the one wordpress sets up for us in the settings
      My answer is no. I don’t get very much spam other than web developers with expensive ideas.
      What I do do is moderate every single comment so that nothing appears until I say so or delete it.

  4. Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up.
    The text in your post seem to be running off the screen in Opera.
    I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with internet
    browser compatibility but I figured I’d post to let you know.

    • I think it is the browser because it is OK in IE, Edge and Chrome, some posts do run off the page if they are ones that have been reblogged and you can’t adjust the formatting because it is hidden.
